Caroline on the Field

By Nekhi Meredith

Caroline Fiorella is “a phenomenal soccer player,” said varsity soccer coach Patrick Dwyer.

If you’re wondering why the parking lot is full every gameday, it’s because of Miss Fiorella. Out of all 22 people on the field during a game Miss Fiorella is reported to be one of the best.

Miss Fiorella is a senior at Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School.  Her accomplishments include National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) All-State player, Olympic Development Program (ODP) state team, CRU team captain, and All-Conference and All-Tidewater.  Throughout the whole TCIS, Miss Fiorella  is known for her quick abilities to cut through defenders and score at will.  You name it Miss Fiorella is the real deal!

Miss Fiorella is also strong in academics with a GPA over 3.8.

She had in mind the college she was going to commit to but got injured during a college showcase game last March resulting in surgery a few weeks later.

“I tore my ACL, which was a very heartbreaking moment,” Miss Fiorella said.

But, Miss Fiorella will bounce back! And if soccer doesn’t work out she aspires to be a big time lawyer one day.
