During the summer, junior Kayla Trautman worked at Sandbridge Chapel Day School, where she worked with children, which she loves doing. She started babysitting when she was 9 years old.
“My favorite age group to work with are the 2-4 year olds because they are so pure, innocent, and happy,” said Miss Trautman.
In the future, Miss Trautman wishes to study child psychology and continue to work with children.
“I want to be a child psychologist because as I’ve grown up I have had a lot of family problems and I want to help children that may grow up with problems in their family and social life.
Miss Trautman’s other love is cooking. She has been cooking all her life. She particularly loves baking goods for her classmates. Recently, she made “loose morals” brownies for the whole journalism class.
We loved them — they were exceptionally good.
