When I was young I was always the weakest person on my football team, then when I came to high school I worked hard lifting and running everyday and that’s how I became one of the best high school players in the nation. I have offers from 18 NCAA Division 1 colleges. like Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and University of  Miami (FL). Being the top player is not easy, I have to work hard everyday in practice to be the best.

During our field trip to The Virginian-Pilot in October, sports writer Larry Rubama  wanted to talk to me about being a big prospect and he asked me questions about how it feels to be one of the best players in the state of Virginia. I said it’s a good feeling to be the best now that I know my hard work is paying off, and he said just keep working hard and more will come.  Later, I had the chance to interview him on his opinion of how I play for this article.

“I’ve had a chance to see you play and you are very powerful and are ready for the next level,” said Mr. Rubama.

Following is an interview I had with Michael Clark of scout.com this fall. “Scout is a digital multi-channel, male-focused video network, providing authentic targeted content from our team of 300+ press credentialed journalists and sports experts across the nation” according to scout.com. I talked to them because they help kids like me get our names out there to colleges so we can have many offers. “Breyon Gaddy’s stock continues to rise. The 7th-ranked junior defensive tackle in the country spoke with Scout about his recruitment, future and more.

Breyon Gaddy’s recruitment continues to pick up steam and he recently picked up a huge offer from Alabama.

‘It means a lot and I like Alabama,’ said the 6-foot-4, 305-pound Gaddy. ‘They have a great football program and they send a lot of guys to the NFL. They also have good academics.(Offensive line) coach (Mario) Cristobal is the coach that I talked to and I’m definitely excited. I’m going to try to get to a game this season.’ Along with the Crimson Tide, the Bishop Sullivan Catholic standout holds offers from Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, and NC State, among others,” writes Mr. Clark.  “Although it is early in the process, a group of schools have really gotten his attention. ‘Miami, Clemson and Tennessee are standing out,’ Gaddy said. ‘Those schools have shown a lot of interest in me and they also put a bunch of guys in the NFL.’

Being the best is hard work.  To be the greatest player in high school football you have to run everyday and get your body ready. I’ve become the best because I work hard and I make the best of it; I’m always at practice and always run hard.
